I see photography as another form of expressing myself through art. It’s another way of painting or drawing a picture in your mind. I used to draw and paint from 4yrs old until the age of 20. Then one day I couldn’t, I just stopped. It’s like what I was seeing in my head couldn’t translate to pencil or paper anymore. I still wanted to get these ideas I had out but, I didn’t know how just yet… until I got my first camera. A Sony cyber shot, a digital camera. It was life changing and I finally could make sense of what I really wanted to do… how I could fully express myself again as an artist. So I put the pencil down and picked up a camera. Creativity doesn’t stay the same forever, it changes and evolves.
It changes languages and you have to find out which one is speaking. Luckily I did and it’s a beautiful thing to translate. My first shots were horrible to say the least. I mostly took pictures of nature, things like sunsets, tress and animals if they stayed still long enough. The shots were blurry, out of focus and just bad. It didn’t stop me though because I was learning and having fun. Time went on and I started getting better. I got my first DSLR, A Canon EOS Rebel T3i and met real photographers. I’m not like most photographers today and I don’t do trend photography. I shoot what I like, the way I like. I like strong subjects and complimentary tones as backgrounds. Photography is just like I said, another way of showing the world a picture in your head. It’s my job to do it as exact as possible.
